Want to know if your WordPress site’s emails are being opened and clicked? WP Mail SMTP’s email tracking features let you monitor how recipients interact with your emails, helping you understand your email engagement metrics.

This guide will show you how to enable email tracking and view your open and click rates in WP Mail SMTP.

Before you dive into this guide, make sure you’ve [installed and activated WP Mail SMTP](https://wpmailsmtp.com/docs/how-to-install-the-wp-mail-smtp-plugin/) and [verified your license key](https://wpmailsmtp.com/docs/how-to-verify-your-wp-mail-smtp-license/). You will also need to [turn on email logging](https://wpmailsmtp.com/docs/how-to-set-up-email-logging/) and may need to wait for your site to collect some data before you can view the information explained below.

## Enable Email Tracking

Once WP Mail SMTP is active, go to **WP Mail SMTP » Settings**. Then, click on the **Email Log** tab.

These two settings work together to help you monitor email engagement. This section contains two settings that work together to help you monitor email engagement.

- **Click Link Tracking**: This option lets you see if the recipient has clicked on any links in the email. This feature tracks all link interactions within your emails.

After selecting your desired tracking options, click **Save Settings** at the bottom of the page to store your changes.

## Viewing Email Tracking Data

To view your email tracking data, click on **WP Mail SMTP » Email Log** in the WordPress admin menu.

Here, the **Opened** and **Clicked** fields show Yes or No to indicate if the email was opened and if any links were clicked.
