SeedProd not sending email

How to Fix SeedProd Not Sending Email

Is SeedProd not sending email from your website?

It’s super important that you always receive messages from your landing pages.

In this guide, we’ll explain how to fix email deliverability issues so you receive all of the emails from your WordPress website.

Fix Your SeedProd Emails Now

Why Is WordPress Not Sending Email?

WordPress isn’t sending email because your emails are likely being caught in spam filters.

WordPress emails are generated and sent by your web hosting server. They often get lost or filed in the Junk Mail folder because they don’t have the right authentication.

You can fix WordPress not sending emails with the WP Mail SMTP plugin.

WP Mail SMTP sends emails through a 3rd party mailer service like SendLayer, SMTP.com, or Brevo (formerly Sendinblue). This adds verification to your emails, and that means that they won’t be discarded or filed as spam.

We’ll show you how to use WP Mail SMTP with SeedProd. This will make sure all of the messages that people send through your contact form are delivered.

How to Fix SeedProd Not Sending Email

When you make a contact form in SeedProd, it uses the WPForms plugin to create your forms. We’re going to show you how to add your form and tweak the settings in this guide.

Step 1: Check Your SeedProd Contact Form Settings

In SeedProd, you can add a contact form to any page you create by clicking the Contact Form button.

SeedProd lets you choose any form you’ve created in WPForms.

Choose SeedProd form from WPForms dropdown list

If you want to check your contact form notifications, click the Edit the selected form link underneath the dropdown.

When you click the link, your form will open up in the WPForms builder.

From here, we can easily check the notification settings on your SeedProd contact form.

To start, click the Settings icon on the left-hand side of the form builder. Then click Notifications to open up the email template for this form.

WPForms notification settings

Your notification will look something like this.

Here are a few things to check in your notifications settings:

  • The Send To field uses the {admin_email} in the main WordPress settings. You can delete the Smart Tag and type in another email address if you prefer.
  • If you want to use more than 1 email address in the Send To field, be sure to separate the email addresses with a comma. If you use a space or a different character, your notifications won’t be delivered.

When you click Save at the top of the form builder, your notifications will be saved for this form.

Keep in mind that the notifications are unique to this form. If you have different forms on different pages in SeedProd, you’ll want to go back and check the settings for each of them.

Still not getting emails from your SeedProd pages? Let’s fix that with WP Mail SMTP.

Step 2: Install the WP Mail SMTP Plugin

If it looks like your contact form is working, but SeedProd isn’t sending emails, we can fix that with WP Mail SMTP.

First, you’ll want to download the WP Mail SMTP plugin.

In your WP Mail SMTP account, you’ll find the latest version in the Downloads tab.

Upload the plugin to your WordPress site and activate it.

Install WP Mail SMTP

As soon as you activate WP Mail SMTP you’ll see the Setup Wizard open up in your browser. If you need to start the wizard manually at a later time, you can open it up by clicking the Launch Setup Wizard button in the WP Mail SMTP settings.

If you already have a mailer set up on your site, running the wizard again will remove your existing mailer.

Set Up SMTP for SeedProd

In this step, we’ll choose a mailer service to fix SeedProd forms not sending email.

Setting up WP Mail SMTP is easy. But if you’d like some help, you can get White Glove Setup with the Elite license.

If you want to set up the plugin yourself, we’ll walk you through it.

To start setting things up, click the Let’s Get Started button in the wizard.

Start the WP Mail SMTP setup wizard to fix WPforms not sending email

On the next screen, you’ll see a list of email providers.

If you’re not sure which email provider to pick, we recommend SendLayer, SMTP.com, or Brevo. Both of these mailers are reliable and will work just fine with any kind of website.

Some of the others here, including Gmail and Other SMTP, are designed for small sites that don’t generate a lot of emails.

Choose SMTP Mailer

Next, open up the documentation for your mailer in a new tab. The doc will show you exactly what you need to do on the mailer side to get everything working:

If you want to set up multiple mailers, you can do so in the Additional Connections settings once you’ve finished the Setup Wizard. Then you can select a Backup Connection and configure Smart Routing.

Just 1 more thing. At the end of the wizard, 2 settings will be automatically enabled:

  • Improved Email Deliverability
  • Email Error Tracking

Enabling email logs and email alerts in the WP Mail SMTP Setup Wizard

If you have WP Mail SMTP Pro or higher, you can also turn on Detailed Email Logs so you can see the email headers, subject line, and other information in Complete Email Reports for each message sent.

This information is shown on a chart on the WordPress dashboard. So it really helps to keep track of your emails to make sure everything’s working.

You can also opt to receive the Weekly Email Summary, which shows your latest email delivery stats.

And you can enable Instant Email Alerts, which let you know if something goes wrong and your site fails to send an email.

On the next screen, there are even more email logging features you can turn on.

Configuring email log settings in the WP Mail SMTP Setup Wizard

These features let you save email content and attachments so you can resend emails if you need to. You’ll also be able to export your logs in a spreadsheet, print logs, track email opens and link clicks, and more.

Don’t forget to paste in your license key at the end of the wizard to activate all of the features and updates.

Step 3: Force the ‘From’ Email (Optional)

If you’re working on your site, you might be using SeedProd to put it into maintenance mode. At the same time, you might have other forms on different pages on your website.

Keeping track of all of the form notifications settings can be tricky.

To make it easier, you can use the Force From Email setting in WP Mail SMTP.

Force From email setting for Gmail

If you check Force From Email and Force From Name, all of the plugins on your website will use the same From address and email. This overrides the details you added in each plugin.

Some mailers need you to use this setting all the time. So if you’ve chosen a mailer that only allows you to use 1 From email address, the plugin will automatically turn this setting on and gray out the checkbox.

And that’s it! Now all of your WordPress emails will be sent through your new mailer service.

Next, Use Multiple Gmail Aliases as ‘From’ Addresses

Do you want to use Gmail or Google Workspace to send emails from SeedProd? WP Mail SMTP lets you use any registered alias in your Gmail account.

For example, we added a second email address in Gmail here. Now we can use either of these addresses as the ‘From’ address in different plugins or contact forms:

Alias added in Gmail or G-Suite

You can use either of these addresses and still benefit from the right email verification. Check out this guide on how to send email from Gmail aliases with WP Mail SMTP to learn how to set this up.
