    1. Hi Gerry,

When you set up DNS records on a subdomain, usually, it’s better to allow at least 24 or 48 hours to propagate them into the internet.

It’s not a hard & fast rule but a general practice that you can follow.

      I hope this helps. Thanks!

  1. 1. Can this be done without using send layer? (i.e., just using one’s existing hosting infrastructure)
    2. What about setting up multiple email subdomains? (i.e., newsletter.domain, marketing.domain, cart.domain, etc…)

    1. Hi Joe,

You can request your hosting provider to set up your email platform on a subdomain.

Also, you can set up email platforms on multiple subdomains as well according to your requirement.

      I hope this helps. Thanks!

      1. I can setup a sub-domain and create an email id too on my hosting provider. Will this work as expected?

      2. Hi Mohit,

When you add your domain to your SendLayer account, the SendLayer mailing service will be configured on a subdomain “SL” (Eg: sl.example.com). This is to avoid any conflicts with your existing DNS records or email platforms such as Google Workspace, Office 365, or even your web host’s default email.

Also, when you set up SendLayer DNS records, the CNAME records will be used to represent SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records. In case it helps, please refer to the following guide.

        I hope this helps. Thanks!

      3. Ok… But how?
How can you send this emails as you explained in this tutorial? You missed the most important thing from the beginning of the article.

      4. Hi Andrei,

This article explains how to integrate the SendLayer mailing service on your WordPress site using the WP Mail SMTP plugin.

If you require further information, try following this video guide.

        I hope this helps. Thanks!
